For the first time to short

The islands of Tapiuntan and Mantiloc are so close together that they not only make a super protected anchorage, but also a wonderful all-round scenery.
Towering rocks, small dreamy white sandy beaches with thick vegetation behind them. In short Hollywood ripe.
After a few stormy and rainy days there was of course no wind again where we wanted to sail. So we motorized the route, the batteries were happy about the additional charge.
The strait is gorgeous, just as expected. It has only one tiny blemish; It is 115 ft at its flattest point!
(Remember the rule of thumb is 4x the water depth as the chain length to anchor safely. Better more;)
Well that would be 460 foot of chain. No “commercial size” sailor has this on board. Odin has an average of 260 ft, which has always been more than sufficient. So far!
We anchor anyway, since there is no wind, this will be sufficient as a day anchor because we definitely want to explore the strait while we're here.
But this would be too unsafe for the night! In the afternoon we drive to a 2 hour safe anchorage to spend the night there.
How could it be otherwise, here, too, the untouched nature overwhelms us ... except for ... a hut camp for backpackers in the jungle, currently abandoned due to the Corona crisis. The night turned into days that give us the opportunity to discover new things over and over again.
