The missed anniversary

Now I've just missed our 13th anniversary.
On August 17, 2007 this phase of life "circumnavigation" officially started.
I had no idea how long it would take, what awaits me in all the nautical miles ahead of me.
Yes, a lot has happened over the past few years. Wonderful encounters, exotic countries, adventures - but also dicey situations and deadly sad events.
But in 2007 I would never have dreamed that 13 years later the world would be stopped because of a virus.
When someone said to us earlier "I have Corona" we all looked forward to a cold Mexican beer with a piece of lemon in the neck of the bottle.
Well, this anticipation with the sentence will probably no longer exist in the future.
The "crown" now has a bland aftertaste.
No no, I don't want to complain here about our current fate, we are in one of the most beautiful areas of the world without any tourists. It couldn't be better.
So we enjoy our quiet life on board and sail here in Palawan from bay to bay and hope that no devastating tropical cyclone catches us now in the cyclone time.
Life will return to normal in a few months, but the Corona time will be immortalized here in the logbook as a reminder of a very quiet time.
If I were superstitious I would say 2020 was the darn 13th year.
But to be honest, there were worse experiences on this trip than spending a few months around Palawan.
I'm curious what surprises the 14th year will bring us.
We will keep you up to date.
