Nature is allowed to breathe deeply

Big Lagoon, Shimizu Island, Secret Lagoon, Pangulasian Island, Snake Island, Pingabuyutan Island, Tapiutan Island… the list of islands and lagoons around
El Nido could be continued and each and everyone has a new anchorage, new beaches so that we will definitely not be bored in the next few weeks or months.

We have been told that in recent years there has been a real tourist boom around El Nido that threatens to develop in the direction of mass tourism, almost similar to Thailand.
Excursion boats then plow through the calm waters of the lagoons and spit sun-hungry tourists from all over the world on to the beaches.
But at the moment and probably also for the coming months we are enjoying this wonderful nature as if we had been catapulted here by a time machine 50 years ago.
Not a single tourist boat crosses our path and even the noisy main town El Nido is dead. No parties, no tourist crowds, almost all restaurants and tourist shops closed.
The only noise level we hear when we anchor directly in front of the city are the fighting cocks with their shouting, which are omnipresent in the Philippines.
Even if this lock down situation is hard for the business people concerned, it still seems to be a blessing for nature, gives her the opportunity to recover from the masses and gives us the chance to experience all the luxury of this nature exclusively and undisturbed.
