To be fond of children does not necessarily mean to bring many children into the world, but also to think about their future.
The same applies to the love of animals!
Like everyone else, the people here in Southeast Asia like these little balls of fur.
The stupid thing is that these cute little fur balls also grow up - and thus become uninteresting.
You can certainly imagine that the dogs here are far from a life with love, affection and frolic.
What you may be surprised by is the fact that the less proud descendants of the wolf are also very affected by Corona here.
Many dogs were simply left behind on the islands by their families at the beginning of the pandemic.
However, being skinny and having nothing to eat does not prevent them from following the "call of nature" and multiplying vigorously.
If the dogs are lucky they will find dead fish or even a dead turtle on the beach, just enough to stay alive and give birth to little puppies who are then allowed to share the dog's life ... until they themselves get the "call" follow nature ".
There are individual efforts to keep the flood of puppies within limits by sterilizing the dogs free of charge, but with moderate success, because puppies are so cute.
If we meet the poor creatures at an anchorage, we stay a few days and Frel cooks a little more. The dogs do not spurn anything. No leftover food, no old bananas, no moldy bread. We collect and open coconuts, because even those are gnawed out of the shell.
The dogs just pounce on everything.
If we didn't feed them leftover meat or chickens and bones every now and then, these poor creatures would be perfect pets for vegans.
