Finally a log entry again!

It is not that we have been too lazy to write log entries over the past few weeks. The reason for this was different: there was simply nothing to report.
Corona lockdown, quarantine and curfews here in Palawan, which is hardly affected by the virus.
We had to stay on board for weeks and were not allowed to leave the anchorage.

Boredom on board.
So what should we report without boring you too ?!

But now!
After more than 2 1/2 months, after numerous phone calls,
filling out dozens of forms and sending masses of boat documents, we finally get permission to continue sailing within Palawan from Immigration, the Coast Guard, the Barangay Captain and the Health Department. Yeah!
Finally - if limited - enjoy freedom under sail again.

However, we didn't get very far.
Just 2 islands away we wanted to visit new friends.
The Swiss Heinz came to Palawan 30 years ago with little more than a little monkey on his shoulder and a big motivation in his heart and fell in love with the island. He founded a family here and created not only paradise but also a small empire on an island. Frel gave his son Jerome, with whom we first became friends, the nickname Maui, because with his tattoos he reminds us of the character of the cartoon MOANA, but with a Swiss accent.
Two lovely, helpful and interesting people, who are undoubtedly guilty!
Guilty of the fact that we are now stuck here on their dream island for a few days.
But there are worse. ;)
