cyclone season? We stay!

Now in November month the new Zyklon season has officially started. Most sailors are now fleeing towards New Zealand or Australia to avoid the potentially violent hurricanes that may sweep through these paradise islands in the next six months.
We also thought about whether we should sail south to New Zealand or west to Australia, after all we were pretty badly beaten up here in Fiji in December 2012 by Cyclone Evan.
We thought about what to expect in Australia or New Zealand in the next six months, then compared this with Fiji and we came to the conclusion: no risk, no fun!
So, one more season Fiji.
Somehow we can't get enough of nature, above and below water, and above all of the kindness of the people here on the islands.
We will now sail north to the island of Vanua Levu. There we have again reserved a mooring for the hurricane season in the safe haven of Savu Savu, which we hope will not need. Keep your fingers crossed for us ;)
