family visit

I've been looking forward to it for weeks, and they've finally arrived since last night. Mom and my brother Chris are visiting us in Malta for ten days.
Logically, first a huge shopping tour with mom is announced - we spend hours in the picturesque city center of Valletta and can't get enough.
Of course, the boys couldn't do anything with it, abseiled down immediately and went on a cultural tour of discovery. (As if shopping wasn't a culture!)
The history of the island is so moving that it would go beyond the scope of this log entry. But the pictures alone give impressions of the history of the warlike Order of St. John and its cultural legacies in the archipelago.
