Rudi on board… the 18th!

I just had to calculate how long this journey has already taken.

If my limited mathematical genius does not fail me, this journey is already in its 18th year! Or, to put it another way, 211 months or 1477 weeks... which is roughly 10,340 days.

All this time away from the political or social madness that is happening in the world.

A wonderful journey where every day is an experience for me.

But there have also been some very special highlights over the last 18 years - namely when my best and dearest friend Rudi from Würzburg comes to visit on board for a few weeks a year.

During this time, he can also leave all the madness and stress behind him and enjoys it every time we can show him places that he would never discover as a normal tourist.

Meeting simple, friendly people who, in their modesty, are certainly happier than most of those who live in abundance in our world, grounds every person.

Rudi, whose entire professional life for over 50 years consisted of parties, discos and action, is now enjoying the time of silence, his annual holiday on Odin off the beaten track.

We celebrated together for many years, each party cost us millions of brain cells, but believe me dear friends, there are still enough left to remember this great time. ;)

A time in which wokeness, political correctness, climate change, CO2, climate glue, war lust or castrated humor were not yet issues or even a harmless, nice compliment to a woman was not seen as sexually intrusive.

All those who read this and celebrated with me will agree with me: It was a great time! ;)

But it would be boring if life didn't change and so the here and now is also awesome and fantastic!

Oh yes, speaking of fantastic... what is particularly fantastic is that despite the distance, this friendship has lasted all these years.

Thank you for that, Rudi...and I hope that we will spend many more holidays together with you as the 3rd crew member of the Odin...no matter where in the world.
