Drive to the interior of the Dominican Republic

How do people live who live away from progress?
Together with Bernie and Eva from Kismet we rented a car and are now driving through the interior of the country for a few days, looking for the real Dominican Republic between sugar cane fields, bananas and coconut plantations.
