Arrecife / Lanzarote

We read in the harbor handbook that this city could hardly be called the jewel of Lanzarote.
Well, what can I say – the book didn't lie.
For three days we have been well protected in the totally overcrowded harbour, surrounded by shallows, lava reefs and abandoned fishing vessels.
Away from the harbor promenade, Arrecife has the charm of an industrial city in the Ruhr area.
Anyone who is still on the move with open eyes will discover silent signs from the past here and there and then something like “beauty at second sight” opens up. (But you have to look very closely!!!)
