The Malacca Strait lays behind us and we have circumnavigated Singapore.
The number of giant tankers is enormous here and all of them are operated with heavy oil and each one has the million times the pollutant emissions of diesel cars and this fact leads all environmental debates blinded green politicians in Germany ad absurdum.
In fact it bears no relation to the real problems of the world

But this was not our problem ,we had to be careful not to be rolled down by one of these giants.
Passing numerous oil drilling plattforms, we complete the Cape around Singapore and Odin's bow points north towards Tioman Islands.

We even get a light breeze from the right direction and we can put the lightwind sail and finally shut off the engine.
The shipping traffic ends abruptly and also the plastic garbage that we saw everywhere on this way gets less.
Not that the people here are more environmentally conscious, no, here is simply not the population that can throw its wealth into the sea.
The world is talking hysterically about the climate change, the real problem seems to me after 12 years of life on the seas of this world that we will suffocate in our own plastic waste in the not too distant future!

Our goal for the moment: lets get away from the so-called modern civilization!

We reach the first island of the Tioman group. PU SIBU

No cars, no skyscrapers, just a few palm or log cabins are the beautiful hotel bungalows a resort for divers.
The island is densely overgrown with jungle and a small path leads from one resort to another.
Real luxury is now the seclusion and so the prices in the resorts for local conditions are also quite expensive.

Fascinated by the rock formations and botany, we explore Pu Sibu, enjoy the beach and the sea, our peaceful anchorage and are finally looking forward to being away from cities, the Malaka Strait and the mass tourism destinations.
